Terms and Conditions for Challenge for Change
1. Participation
1.1. Participation in Challenge for Change is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk. 1.2. Participants must ensure they are physically fit and healthy to undertake the chosen activity (walking, running, cycling or swimming or those using mobility support equipment). 1.3. Participants must consult with a healthcare professional if they have any concerns about their ability to participate. 1.4. Registration is non- refundable and non-transferable.
2. Fundraising
2.1. Participants are responsible for raising funds through sponsorship via Just Giving. 2.2. All funds raised are for mileage activity undertaken during September 2025. 2.3. Funds raised through other channels such as registration, sponsorship, merchandise and others will be allocated out to charities per the explanation on the charities page on the website. 2.4. All funds in connection with Challenge for Change are handled by independent third parties. Details of the how the funds raised and how they will be allocated are on the website.
3. Safety and Liability
3.1. Participants undertake their chosen activity at their own risk. 3.2. Challenge for Change is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or health issues that may arise from participation in the event. 3.3. Participants must take all necessary precautions to ensure their safety, including but not limited to wearing appropriate clothing and using suitable equipment. 3.4. All participants taking part in the Challenge for Change do so at their own risk. Challenge for Change shall not be liable for any injuries, loss or damages whatsoever.
4. Data Protection
4.1. By participating in Challenge for Change, participants agree to the collection and use of their personal data for the purposes of the event and will be stored upon registration in Results Base a platform designed for large events.
5. Publicity
5.1. Participants consent to the use of their name, image, and likeness in any promotional materials related to Challenge for Change (pre, during and post event) and for Challenge for Change to utilise any content shared on Instagram, LinkedIn, Tiktok or other social media channels.
6. Code of Conduct
6.1. Participants must conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner. 6.2. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or unsportsmanlike behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification from the event.
7. Amendments
7.1. Challenge for Change reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. 7.2. Any changes will be communicated to participants via email or newsletter. 7.3. These terms and conditions apply to everyone participating in the Challenge for Change. Upon entry you accept these terms and conditions.
8. the organisers
8.1. The organisers retain the right to remove a participant with immediate effect should that participant become abusive/aggressive in their communications with the organisers. Such decision is entirely at the organisers discretion and such decision is final. 8.2. The organisers of the Challenge for Change are volunteers. All communication queries/issues/questions will be responded to on a best endeavours approach.
9. events
9.1. Any events are organised by participants locally, the organisers may communicate event details but do not have any liability with regard to these events - they are entirely at the participants discretion and risk.
